The Travis County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its search for a car that struck a deputy while on-duty Tuesday morning.
According to the sheriff’s office, three deputies were conducting traffic enforcement in a school zone on McNeil Dr. when one of them stepped into an empty lane of to stop a vehicle that traveling in the other lane. Officials say that’s when the vehicle swerved and hit him.
Detectives are searching for a silver Lexus ES 350, possibly with Texas license plate MNP-4774. The vehicle may also have front-end damage.
The deputy was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has been released.
