The Austin Round Rock Metro Housing market continues to skyrocket amid the Covid pandemic.

The Austin Board of Realtors President Romeo Manzanilla says the number of homes sold in October grew by nearly 30% and that spike launched the metro median home price to a new all time high of $365,000 representing a more than 13% increase from the same time last year.

In Austin Proper the Median sales prices holds at $441,000, Manzanilla believes that high cost of living in the central Metro area has more buyers looking outside Travis County, noting it’s median Home price grew by 16% up to $430,000.  Pointing to Williamson County, he says inventory levels took the biggest dive in the metro, “October of last year there was 2.3 months of inventory, right now in Williamson County there is 0.7 months of inventory.”

Due to that level of interest, Williamson County’s median home price grew by 11% to more than $323,000.
