A Cedar Park police officer was injured Wednesday during what police say was a vehicle pursuit on Bell Boulevard. The officer was reportedly struck by a vehicle during the chase and is said to have non-life threatening injuries. One man has been arrested.
According to the Department of Public Safety, shots were fired by one of the police agencies involved, which, along with Cedar Park and DPS, included also the Leander Police Department.
The chase came to an end in the 2100 block of North Bell Boulevard when the car police were pursuing crashed, shutting down both lanes of traffic. Heavy backups were reported at the intersection of Whitestone and Bell Boulevard. Leander police says 183 southbound was also closed at Osage in connection with that same pursuit.
