Austin City Council approve more than $24-million dollars in homelessness related spending.
The City will send $8.1-million to the Safe Alliance to run a new family abuse shelter and give more than $16-million to Caritas of Austin and Integral Care to run permanent supportive housing units for the chronically homeless.
