Two Texas Baseball Freshmen Headed to the National Team
Freshman Longhorn Baseball players Aaron Nixon & Tanner Witt will be headed to the Collegiate National Team this Summer!
Two teams of 24 players, the Stars and the Stripes, will play an 11 game tour this Summer starting Friday July 2nd in Virginia, before heading to North Carolina right after. Team USA will also host a July 4th game at the National Training Complex.

Aaron Nixon had a 4-3 record for the Longhorns with a 2.12 era in 34 innings pitched.
Tanner Witt was 5-0 this season with a 3.16 era in 57 innings.
Both Freshman led the team in appearances and Saves for the Longhorns this season.
On a side note, Longhorn assistant coach Troy Tulowitzki will also be joining the staff as an assistant to one of the two teams.
