As the Texas Special session nears its start this Thursday, The Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan today launches the new House Committee on Constitutional Rights and Remedies. Governor Greg Abbott has yet to announce what will be debated in the special session, but it’s expected Voting reforms will be part of it.
Phelan says the committee is made up of several different view points and will ensure thoughtful consideration in the special session.
Today, I'm announcing the formation of the House Select Committee on Constitutional Rights and Remedies, a select committee with expanded membership and expertise is the ideal forum for ensuring the thoughtful consideration of items that may be on a special session call. #txlege
