When the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization held a town hall in Lakeway this week, some Western Travis County residents pleaded with CAMPO to put State Highway 71 in their 2040 plan. Commissioner Gerald Daugherty says that’s not something he’s worried about.
Daugherty says safety trumps everything and TxDOT does spend money on 71.
