Austin police are investigating after six windows are broken out at a muslim mosque on North Lamar. Video surveillance shows the suspect, though quality of footage couldn’t capture their face. The suspect appears to be a white man between the ages of 18 and 24 entering through a fence, said officials. They approached the front of the building before breaking glass to access the window and door of the building.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations believes it is a hate crime, although Lewis says she doesn’t want to jump to any conclusions until police investigate further.
