“The bar setting has led to an increase in spread,” Abbott said Tuesday.
Speaking with KOSA-TV in Midland, Abbott said the state must be strategic about its efforts to slow the spread of coronavirus in Texas, or risk facing an even larger shutdown of the economy “across-the-board.”
