Austin’s airport gets a federal grant to fix its runway.
The US Dept. of Transportation awarded the airport an $8.3 million dollar grant to rehabilitate the runway. Texas US Senator John Cornyn says in a statement says the money will be used to address much-needed maintenance and safety improvements to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Cornyn thanked the Trump Administration and local leaders who secured the funding and noted that quality transportation services are vital for boosting local economic growth.
