APD: Man threatens to kill Mother and child in a S. Austin robbery

The Austin Police Department is on the hunt for a man they say threatened to kill a woman and her child at a South Austin HEB, if she didn’t give him all her money. Police say the suspect is believed to live in the area around Brodie Land and William cannon. APD released the video below hoping you may recognize the man.

Location:  6900 Brodie Lane

The Austin Police Department’s Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance regarding a robbery by threat case from Monday, October 7, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in the 6900 block of Brodie Lane.
 
A Black male suspect approached the victim and threatened to kill her and her young child if she didn’t give him all of her money. The suspect is believed to live in the vicinity of Brodie Lane and William Cannon Drive.
  
He is described as:

Black male

20 – 30 years of age

5’7” tall

Teardrop tattoo under his left eye
