The Austin Police Department (APD) will unveil their newest police memorial Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. The memorial wall dedication will take place at the Public Safety Training Academy located at 4800 Shaw Lane.
“This wall was built as a promise to our fallen heroes, that we will always remember the sacrifice they made. It will also serve as a remembrance to their families, that their spirit lives within us and will never be forgotten,” says APD in a release.
Mayor Steve Adler, Chief Brian Manley, and the families of APD’s fallen officers will also be in attendance.
