City leaders are expected to take another stab this year at rewriting Austin’s land development code. Before that happens, City Manager Spencer Cronk wants to know just how aggressive the council wants to get when it comes to new zoning regulations, parking requirements, and how dense a plot of land should be to allow for new housing developments.
Cronk appears to want to avoid a repeat of the council’s failed Code Next effort, which coast Austin taxpayers $9-million with zero results.
