An Austin area union group is pushing the City of Austin to use excess net income generated by the city-owned Austin Hilton on public works like parks and clinics. Bo Delp with the hospitality union “Unite Here” says their members are locals.
Austin City Council passed a resolution directing City Staff to look into the funds generated and see what could be done with them since the State is throttling the City’s taxing abilities.
