On the School Buildings side, she explained parents and resident will be asked, if a school was to be shut down near them, what community benefit would you want to see take its place? She said closures aren’t the only thing being looked at. She said, other school districts facing under enrollment problems have partnered with various industries who would renovate a wing and partnered with the campus to teach students industry skills.

On the Academic portion, Ghilarducci said people will be asked about what programs their kids are in that they like and want the district to invest more in.

Ghilarducci said this who discussion is under the District’s Reinvestment portion of the closure discussion, because if the district doesn’t have to spend more money on extra buildings, more funding can go into other needs.
