Austin Police are investigating a pair of overnight deadly shootings

Austin police are investigating a pair of deadly overnight shootings. APD Lt.Jeff Greenwalt says officers responded to a shots fired call at Givins park in East Austin. He says they found 47-year-old Andre Lanier Davis dead. 

Police said the suspects may have fled in a black Nissan car. One of the suspects, according to witnesses was described as tall and stocky wearing a black jacket.

The Travis County Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy today to determine the official cause of death.

Greenwalt said later last night, two others were found shot at the La Quinta Inn at I-35 and 290, one of those men died after Austin Travis County EMS rushed both to the hospital.

Police claim multiple suspects are involved and they all fled. According to a witness, one of the suspects was seen leaving in a black Dodge Charger, which was later found abandoned on E. Riverside Dr. near I-35.

The second victim is expected to be okay, but due to his condition he has yet to talk to investigators.
