Austin Police Need your help as they investigate an attempted sexual assault

The Austin Police Department is on the hunt for a man accused of attempted sexual assault after he attacked a South Austin Woman this morning (Thursday Sept. 19th). Investigators have asked for you assistance in identifying the attempted sexual assault suspect.

Investigators report the Survivor was walking in her apartment complex when she first saw the suspect. She entered the breezeway of the complex when the man grabbed her by the back of her robe. He attempted to pull her down to the ground, but she was able to fight back and free herself. 

The suspect tried to regain control, by  punching the woman in the face multiple times. She was ultimately able to free herself and run to safety.
 
The suspect is described as:

Black male

5’8” – 6’0”

Thin build

Dark eyes

Dark complexion

Bald or very short dark hair

Wearing dark blue short sleeved shirt

Hairy arms

Tattoo under each eye about the size of a quarter in diameter

Spoke English
