If you’re traveling out of Austin’s airport in the next couple of months, keep a wary eye on your gate. Starting today they are going through the process of renumbering all the gates to go with the expansion of their eastern concourse. ABIA’s Jim Hallbrook says they have to change signs inside the terminal as well as outside on taxiways, jetways and elsewhere.
There will be nine additional gates when its new eastern concourse is completed and that’s prompting the airport to change gate numbers now, Hallbrook said they’ll work on five gates every two weeks.
They have to change signage on the jetways, taxiways and on the flight boards. The whole process should be completed by the end of October.
