For the eighth consecutive year, Austin is the fastest growing metro in the nation with more than 1-million people. City of Austin demographer Ryan Robinson says we’re on pace to surpass three million mark by 2030. As for the Austin city limits specifically, Robinson is predicting the U.S. Census will show the total has surpassed one million by next year.
