The Office of the City Clerk officially conducted the drawing for positions on the November municipal election ballot in Austin. The drawing determined the order in which the candidate names for the six city council districts that will be listed on the ballot. The drawing is done randomly by picking candidate names by district and announcing the order of candidates’ names.

Dates have also been selected for council candidate forums, which will take place in September and October. The City of Austin, the Ethics Review Commission, and the League of Women Voters Austin Area will sponsor the six forums.
