Beware of flooded cars flooding the market

flooding during Hurricane Harvey

Auto industry experts say there is typically an uptick in flooded cars that get put back onto lots for sale in the wake of big storms, like Tropical Storm Barry.  Jerry Reynolds, host of the ‘Car Pro Show’ on KLBJ, says water can cause extensive and very costly damage.

Flooded cars from Hurricane Harvey two years ago are still popping up on lots.  Reynolds says you’ll want to check for signs of rust and damage under seats or by the spare tire, and always check the used vehicle report.
