Should Election Day be a holiday? State Representative John Bucy thinks so. He has filed a bill to allow state workers to take the day off to go vote.
He says it’s worked in other states to increase voter turnout. Bucy’s bill only would impact state workers. Private businesses would have to decide for themselves if workers would get the day off.
