Austin Police are investigating a body found in Lady Bird lake this morning along Riverside Drive.
This is near the same area first responders searched for Martin Gutierrez,25, last week. He was last seen on Rainey street on the weekend of Nov 17th. However, APD Officer Destiny Silva said Investigators had yet to find any ties with the body to any existing missing persons case. Silva added they also not able to determine age race or even gender.
Both missing persons and homicide detectives are aiding in the investigation.
A body has been recovered from Ladybird lake near Riverside this morning. Austin police say they are investigating. This was the same area where first responders searched for Martin Gutierrez, 25, last week. Gutierrez was last seen on Rainey St. around 1AM, November 17th.

APD is working a deceased person call in the 1300 block of E Riverside Drive. The call came in at 9:48 a.m. as a check welfare urgent. The briefing time and location details will be tweeted as soon as they are determined. The call number is 18-3300500.
