Crews with the City of Leander are restoring service to an are affected by a water line break on tuesday. Repairs have since beenb made, but officials say a small section of sidewalk along the southbound lane of Bagdad Road near Osage Drive will remain closed for additional repairs.
A boil water notice is still in effect for the immediate area.
The issue also impacted Leander High School, which will be boiling all water until further notice. Leander ISD says there will be no changes to Wednesday’s class schedule.
Water samples will be collected and taken to a state-approved laboratory for analysis, and results on possible contamination will be reported in the next 24 to 48 hours. Once cleared, all affected areas will be notified of the boil water notice cancellation.
