BASTROP COUNTY:
Three people have died from coronavirus in Bastrop County, and health officials say 234 cases have been found overall. Of that total, 95 patients have recovered. The bulk of the cases have been found within the unincorporated areas of Bastrop County, but in terms of individual cities, Elgin has the most at 82. Smithville has confirmed nine cases and the City of Bastrop has confirmed six.
COMAL COUNTY:
113 cases have been confirmed in Comal County since the pandemic first took root in March. 86 of those cases are no longer active and have since been classified as recoveries. Seven people have died from complications caused by COVID-19.
HAYS COUNTY:
Six people remain hospitalized in Hays County Friday morning for COVID-19-related issues. And much like other counties in Central Texas, the recovery numbers are outpacing the active case counts. 164 cases are active in Hays County and 220 have recovered. Five have died since the beginning of the outbreak.
TRAVIS COUNTY:
Travis County has seen a drop in COVID-19 hospitalizations over the past day, now down to 91. 20 of those patients are on a ventilator. Since March, 95 people have died, but based on some new estimations from Austin Public Health, the number of recoveries is far higher than first believed. 2917 of the 3562 cases are now considered to be recoveries.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY:
There are five fewer active coronavirus cases this morning in Williamson County than there were just 24-hours ago. 195 people are still dealing with the effects of the virus, including eight who are in the hospital. But the number of recoveries is continuing to soar, now up to 438. There have been 660 cases found in Williamson County since March.
