While initially happy the city is considering the change, the Austin Independent Business Alliance’s Rebecca Melancon said the details show this is more of a social service program.
It also stipulates every employee must be paid that wage and be on the way to get a 50{d9298e16fbff8ff2d9e84a8934eb00b21cf3ccd1154c522a6781c70a3ad80f68} raise in five years. In return the city will give the business $1000.
