City prepares for more algae testing

Austin’s Watershed Department spent more than 30-thousand dollars on testing for toxic algae in Ladybird lake and other waterways. The Department’s Brent Bellinger says they could need a similar amount for next year as well as they are preparing for the worst.
 
Bellinger says they are currently looking for best practices in monitoring algal blooms.
