Travis County commissioners approve a resolution to oppose Senate Bill 2, which would limit taxing districts to a property tax hike of 2.5-percent without needing voter approval. County Judge Sarah Eckhardt says this bill would have a negative effect on how the county is able to manage its growth.
The City of Austin has also vowed to fight against the 2.5-percent cap.
