Travis County moves ahead with increasing wages for county employees. While not specifically calling it a “minimum wage,” the county would like to see public employees paid no less than $15-an-hour to address the rising cost of living in the area. County Judge Sarah Eckhardt calls this a “six-million dollar decision.”
Commissioners gave their approval toward budgeting appropriately for next year.

The Travis County Commissioners Court unanimously approved the Central Health fiscal year 2025 budget and tax rate this week.
