We will get a chance in November to decide the funding source for major cancer research in Texas. The issue is continuing the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas, or CPRIT, which was created by voters in 2007. Austin Senator Kirk Watson says it is critical that this funding for research continues.
Watson says everyone is impacted by cancer, one way or another, and that’s why research that leads to new treatments and cures is so critical.
