Austin Energy reports the repaires should be completed and power restored to the effected parts of downtown by 130.

A damaged Austin energy power line has cut off several blocks of Austin’s downtown. The Utility reports a non-Austin Energy crew damaged a line and staff are on site making repairs. The power outage caused Spectrum News Austin and San Antonio to go off the air temporarely and caused parts of the UT campus to cancel classes for the day.
