Twenty-two Democratic state lawmakers have signed on to a letter to Governor Abbott calling for a special session to take up the issue of gun violence after the mass shooting in El Paso.
State Representative Roland Gutierrez says this isn’t about taking guns away, it’s about curbing the problems of mass shootings. So far, the Governor has said he will not call a special session.
