Evening parking in downtown Austin could get easier as the city opened their garages to overnight downtown workers through its Affordable Parking Program. The Downtown Austin Alliance’s Molly Alexender wants to see more private garages participate, after the city offered up 500 of its garaged spots to late night workers for a $35 monthly fee.
By getting more late night workers to use garages, she says this will open up more street parking for everyone else.
