The problem of illegal drugs being smuggled into Texas from Mexico continues to grow, and of particular concern is the synthetic opioid Fentenyl, now one of the most lethal drugs says National Drug Control Policy Chief Kemp Chester says the number of overdose deaths linked to Fentenyl jumped 113 percent from 2013 to 2016, accounting for over 18 thousand deaths in 2016 alone.
