Economists worried about the state of Texas Education are breathing a bit easier following the session.

Economist Dr. Ray Perryman says with 4 out of five people born in Texas staying in Texas, more funding to schools mean a better workforce for tomorrow, as the state had been lagging in terms of education.

However, Perryman says the state has not identified a permanent funding source for the increased education spending, but still considers it a step towards progress.
