Governor Abbott is leading a group of local business leaders to Japan and South Korea this week. Today he’s in Nagoya Japan meeting with executives from Aisin AW, the world’s largest manufacturer of transmissions. Last week in San Antonio Abbott announced Aisin (Eye-shin) would be investing $400-million dollars in a future facility in Cibolo, Texas. It’s expected to bring 900 jobs. In a statement released today, Abbott said Aisin is playing a vital role in bringing more jobs and innovation to Texas.
