The small Central Texas town of Granger will soon be getting a facelift thanks to the Texas Historical Commission’s Main Street Program, which helps revitalize old downtown districts and preserve historic buildings. Texas First Lady Cecilia Abbott was on-hand this week to celebrate the breathing of new life into downtown Granger.
The Historical Commission says the program fosters economic development and helps light a new spark in the community. The program has helped generate nearly $4-billion in economic reinvestment.
