Central Health, Travis County’s health district and CommUnity Health Care Centers will begin making house calls in the Greater Hornsby Bend area that has limited health care options. Chief Administration Officer Larry Wallace says the old-fashioned method of service is a great Phase One interim solution.
Central Health is also planning building a pre-fab modular clinic next to the Del Valle Fire Station for the next phase, said Wallace.
The house calls will start next week to help patients with acute illnesses and manage chronic conditions.
