Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar will issue the Biennial Revenue Estimate to the 88th Legislature on Monday, January 9. It marks the first movement of the week toward the beginning of the legislative session on Tuesday.
Hegar calls the revenue estimate “truly historic.”
The Biennial Revenue Estimate reports the amount of revenue available for the Legislature to spend for the fiscal 2024-25 state budget.
Hegar will host a virtual news conference at 2 p.m..
