Hot car deaths climb

It is the time of year again where Texas children are very vulnerable to hot cars. Fourteen deaths have already been reported this year of young children.  And while to many people just the simple thought of forgetting their child in their car is beyond comprehension, it, unfortunately, happens far too often.  Sue Auriemma with ‘Kids and Cars dot org’ says 120 Texas kids under age 14 died between 1997 and 2017, and education campaigns just aren’t working.

But she says while in-car reminders would certainly help, the ultimate responsibility rests with parents.
