I-35 at Posey Road is getting a whole new look as the Texas Department of Transportation takes down the Posey Road bridge for good. Instead of the current configuration, the mainlanes of I-35 will be raised and Posey Road will go under the interstate.
To kick off this project, local and state officials will join the TxDOT for a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday. The ceremony will take place in the San Marcos Toyota parking lot along the northbound I-35 frontage road. Please see attached invitation for more details.
In addition to the new overpass on I-35 over Posey Road, two new U-turns will be added in each direction at Posey Road, along with ramp reversals and the conversion of two-way frontage roads to one-way.
