The female peregrine falcon that lives at the University of Texas tower year round, affectionately nicknamed “Tower Girl” may have found a mate, just in time for Valentines Day.
UT Professor Tim Keitt said they have a camera on her nesting box, and she’s been spotted with a male suitor.
If he stays and breeds successfully it will effectively extend the breeding range of the migratory falcon. Since last year, Tower Girl’s cam has been viewed for over 24 thousand hours by falcon fans.
