Some Austin business owners say dealing with repeat criminal offenders has become more common since the homeless ordinances were revised…Craig Staley, owner of the Royal Blue Grocery, tells Fox 7 it’s gotten so bad for him that the only thing that is keeping him in business right now is the hard work of Austin police.
“All of the sudden the folks who hang downtown, some of the homeless — a lot of them are, started spealing from us repeatedly,” Staley says.
Staley says he wonders how long it will be until downtown businesses finally give up and stop calling police since there is very little they can do to prevent people from coming back.
