With everything going on these days, it’s easy to forget about some of the yearly issues we face in Central Texas, including a lack of rainfall. In Kyle, that has led to the implementation of Stage 1 water restrictions.

Effective immediately,  the city says the following watering protocols must be followed:

  1. Watering must be by handheld hose with a shutoff nozzle or bucket any time of day;
  2. Sprinklers, soakers, and drip irrigation allowed from midnight to 10:00 a.m., and 8:00 p.m. to midnight on designated watering days;
  3. Permanently installed irrigation systems from midnight to 10:00 a.m. on designated watering days.

Cars, trucks, trailers, boats, or other vehicle and mobile equipment can be washed from midnight to 10:00 a.m., and 7:00 p.m. to midnight on designated days with a handheld hose with shutoff nozzle or bucket.
