The City of Lakeway has approved a traffic engineering study to identify potential projects that could be funded through a voter-approved bond election next May. Lakeway wants to contribute $5-million toward TxDOT’s upgrades to Highway 620, but that still hinges on whether voters say yes to that plan next May.
City Manager Steve Jones said it would make sense to identify the cost to upgrade numerous other roads, and then package them all up into one transportation bond package for voters during that May election.
Other possible locations include Serene Hills from Flint Rock to Lakeway Blvd, Lohman’s Spur, and Main Street between 620 and Lohman’s.
