You have until midnight tonight to get registered to vote in the November election, if you haven’t already.
Travis County Voter Registrar Bruce Elfant said if you’ve waited till today, you’ll need to turn in registration in person. “What we’re urging people not to do is mail’em. You don’t want to mail your application this close t the deadline because there is no grantee that you’ll receive a timely postmark.”
If you don’t know if you are registered or not Elfant explained, you can check online at VOTETRAVIS.COM and if you fin your registration does not match you current home address, you’ll need to get registered.
Elfant says there are several locations around the county where would be voters can handle their paperwork.
From 8a-5p you can go to the Travis County Sheriff’s office at 5555 Airport
Any of the County satellite Tax offices:
-Oak Hill Community Center location 8656 West HWY 71, Building B, 2nd Floor
-Near ABIA 4011 McKinney Falls Parkway
-Pflugerville 15822 Foothill Farms Loop
From 9a-5p you can go to the community care clinics at Breaker Lane and Montopolis drive
From 8a-till Midnight you can get registered at the Lake Line Alamo Draft House.
