Local health officials cheer the president's plan to ban flavored e-cigarettes

Studies have shown that one-in-four high school students use e-cigarettes, and most pick fruity flavors. As President Trump seeks a ban on flavored e-cigarettes, Dr. Sandra Adams with UT Health is cheering the move, citing recent data showing a growing danger from vapor products.

In some cases, Adams said she’s heard of people requiring a lung transplant.  She fully supports a ban on flavored cigarettes, believing far fewer kids would pick up the habit if their only choice is regular tobacco flavor.

Though, she does admit that more studies are needed.
