The Rideshare Company Lyft is chipping in $50,000 to keep drunk drivers off the streets, hoping they’ll be drunk Lyft Passengers instead. The company’s Aaron Fox said they’ve restarted their Ride Smart Texas Program Wednesday (Nov 21st). “We see a tremendous increase in rides [on the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving].” Fox continued, you got all these people returning home. They’re excited to see their old friends…and they’ve got nothing to do the next day.”
Lyft is giving $10 off rides to those who put in the code in “RideSmartThanks” , on their app through Friday (Nov 23rd.)
