Ride share company Lyft will have A-I controlled vehicles rolling around Austin next year. Lyft is partnering with Ford and the start-up Argo AI to power the program. Officials say there will still be a person in the drivers seat for safety’s sake. Lyft is hoping to deploy at least 1000 AI controlled cars over the next 5-years.
