A man is behind bars after police say he made a confession to a rideshare driver in a desperate attempt to flee the scene.
According to the Pflugerville Police Department, a 911 caller said she was approached by a man who told her to leave because he’d just killed someone.
When deputies arrived on scene to a home in the 2800 block of Linville Ridge Lane, they found a man in his 20s with gunshot wounds dead on a bathroom floor.
Detectives began collecting evidence and conducting interviews and were able to identify Alian Shamar Morrison Davis, 20, as a suspect. A detective was able to contact Davis, who turned himself in and confessed to the shooting, police said.
Davis is in custody, charged with Murder.
The identity of the victim will not be released at this time, pending positive identification by the Travis County Medical Examiner and notification of next of kin.
